Businesses and members of the community can help support our program in so many ways. If you'd like to place a booster ad in our season's program book, contact the program director for information.
Of course, there are other great ways to help - every summer we become regular customers (sometimes daily!) at three stores: Home Depot, JoAnn's Fabrics, and Sam's Club.
The links below will take you to these stores' gift certificate pages where you can purchase a gift card donation in PRT's name. Donations can be sent to Pitman Rec Theater, c/o Roy Harmon, 101 S. Broadway, Pitman NJ 08071.
Gift cards can also be purchased and given to any cast or staff member, or dropped off at Pitman's Boro Hall.

Each summer we use Sam's Club to purchase: * Snacks for our 'Theater Bugs' (Pre-K thru 6th grade) * Office Supplies * Concession sales items (the food we sell at intermission) * Party Supplies for Cast Parties * Paper Paper Paper! * Cleaning supplies for Set Strike Day - the day we clean up the High School after the season is over * Blank CDs to make rehearsal CDs for our cast members. * Items to restock the first-aid kit, aspirin for our staff :^) Thanks for your support by purchasing a Sam's Club Gift Card! |

JoAnn's Fabrics and Crafts: |

Each summer we visit JoAnn's to purchase: * Patterns - to put on four shows takes a lot of patterns, sometimes even two copies of the same pattern because one Mom might be making 10 large skirts while another is making 15 medium skirts! * Lots and Lots of Fabric. For costumes as well as muslin to make flats. * Most of our costumes are fastened with velcro, for easy changes and durability. * Every year we try to purchase an inexpensive 'Simple' Sewing machine - adding to our bank of machines so our young members can learn to sew (and appreciate their Grandmothers!) *Did I mention fabric? And lace, and trim, and ribbon! So much ribbon!

Home Depot: |

We seem to visit Home Depot almost daily to purchase: * Lumber and 2x4s for flats and platforms, 'stringers' to build stairs. * About 30 gallons of paint per season, plus all the paint supplies. * Black and Decker power drills (the one with the extra left-hand guider) our older members are shown how to use them and encouraged to help build sets safely. With shop classes dwindling in schools, we like knowing we're teaching construction know-how and safe practices. *Safety Goggles *Colored tape to mark the stage (especially Glo-tape for when the lights are out backstage before the curtain opens) * Casters and sliders - those set pieces are big and need to be pushed and wheeled around by kids. * Light bulbs for the orchestra pit, extension cords (never enough!), totes, bungees, tape measures.

We're offering a Show Ticket Gift Pack. 30 tickets to any show for $225 (regularly $300). It's a great way to save money on tickets if you have a big family and want everyone to come see your young actor.
Or if you have a class full of children and want to give a gift.
Or if you are planning a birthday party. This is also a nice way for local businesses to support our kids - you can purchase a Gift Pack of tickets and give them out to your friends, family and employees - it's not a season pass to the Eagles, but hey - we need the money a lot more than they do. :^)
